Welcome to Dominican! This place is amazing! It was hard to say goodbye to all the people I got to know so well for the past couple of weeks in Mexico, but I'm finally here in the Dominican. As I was driving through Santo Domingo, I felt welcomed by the mission president and his wife, and I thought, "What have I just gotten myself into?" lol. These next two years are about to be so crazy, I'm excited to start serving.
Also, right when I got to the Mexico City Airport, guess what was playing on every TV? The Kansas City Chiefs against the Who Cares Eagles, 35 to 35, 11 seconds left, and a field goal by the Chiefs would bring home the title of 2023 Champions! I was so blessed to be able to watch that happen, and I know the perfect timing is no mistake. I saw it as a little message from God saying, "You are where you're supposed to be." Day 1 of the mission went nicely, just being welcomed and making myself "comfortable" or as much as I can get in this heat. Ever since I got off the plane, my hands have been all moist and I've had sweat drenching my forehead. I love it. A lot to get used to, but I already know I'm about to change so much for the better. I'm so glad I decided to do this, and I can't wait to see who God puts in my path to bless me and for me to bless them as much as I can. Love you all, hasta luego!
